Description: |
Up to 19km of trail system rehabilitation and installation. Removal of existing mulch trail system and restabilization of riverbank trails, complte with Class 3 gravel trail construction. Locating, clearing and installing for new Class 3 trails. Reconstruction of 4 pedestrian bridges |
Key Challenges: |
Supplying gravel to the lower areas of the 19km trail system, in a 3m width trail alignment with minimal existing condition disturbance. Excavation and padding through marshlands at the base of the valleys to construct stable granular trails |
