Description: |
Working in enivornmentally sensitive areas and utilizing sedimentation controls, as well as excavation of wetland soils along the Sturgeon River to create fish habitat. Installation of 87,000m3 of clay, followed by compaction. Naturalization planting for the purpose of creating additional wetland area. |
Key Challenges: |
Maintaining wildlife habitat including noise control in order to prevent disruption of wildlife during critial nesting periods, control meaures to prevent Stickleback minnow from entering the wetland. Acheiving the required compaction for the clay. |
